DS(4) wants dad all the time

DS has a definite dad preference and I genuinely don’t mind this. What is hard is that DH works away most of the week. So he’ll be crying I want daddy, I want daddy, and what can I do? I can offer phone calls but that’s it really (and DH doesn’t always answer.) Does anyone have any advice??

Why do these men who ‘work away all week’ bother having kids? It’s so selfish. Change your job or if you can’t, don’t reproduce. Why have something you won’t ever see and will have little hand in rearing?
