Dd used to have a stompa cabin bed which is longer than a normal single. Toys went both under the bed and on the end of it.

Container concept. One basket for teddies, one basket for Duplo, one basket for magnet tiles etc.

If they can't fit anymore, some have to go. 3 year old is involved in this and knows that he can donate any toys he no longer wants to children who are less fortunate. Our home is tiny, we just can't let toy collections grow and grow beyond set boundaries.

We have 3 baskets overflowing here and a 2 year old who loves 'softies'
Maybe one of those hanging/back of the door basket bag things?? We'll probably do this when she's older

When dd was little we had a wall/ceiling hammock in one corner of the room above a chest of drawers

We had a plastic chain with pegs on along the wall beside DD's bed. Like this one

There's one cube box for all the soft toys. If they don't fit in there, they go. You can either hide for a few months and then donate or you can explain to kids that their toys need to fit in the spaces their room so they need to pick which ones to keep and which to donate.

We got a bean bag cover from eBay and shoved them all in there. Practical storage and a seat all in one! Plus it stops
them getting dusty

ShillyShallySherbet · 10/02/2025 18:51

We put the bulk of them in a beanbag cover with a few special ones on their bed. I also have two bin bags of soft toys in the loft, occasionally they ask me where a specific teddy is and if it’s in the loft then I have a one in, one out policy.

We have 2 baskets, and we do regular charity donations to keep them fitting within the baskets.
