Do not click the link if you object to porn.
Disney Ferries

I allowed him to search for Disney Fairies in google. Turned my back to get tea on the table. I return to see cocksucking and, vagina exposed with huge throbbing cocks inserted.

He made a spelling mistake, and wrote Disney Ferries. Now, of course, as a parent it is my fault. I bow my head in shame, but who would have thougth THIS is what he found from searching for something Disney related?

I am off to install parental control and web filter.

I made the mistake of looking for information about "Action Man" many years ago... I never would have guessed how many "man on man action" websites there could be in the world...

NutterlyUts · 08/05/2008 16:53

My norton picked up that site as a trojan and wouldn't let me even open the page, so I suggest you scan and scan and scan to be safe

So much for my McAfee....

Reminds me of a teacher friend who had to stand in for an absent teacher in her primary school. The planned lesson was to be about containers, ie any vessel that could contain something - cups, ships, lorries, bottles. She gave out instructions and sent them all off to Google and see what they could find.

A couple of mins later one shocked 9 year old yelled "Miss, Miss! All I typed in was jugs!"

QuintessentialShadows · 08/05/2008 21:27

I think I should have a talk to the school. It was computer day today, and the girls went to the Disney website and were making their own fairy, he wanted to do it when he came home. What if the children mis-type and a whole bunch of girls get the same thing?

I was once asked to try and find a black or darker signed Barbie doll for someone. Do NOT try googling! It did not bring up quite what I was looking for.

Hulababy · 08/05/2008 21:40

QS - the school compoyters should be protected and those sites shouldn't get through. But if they try it at home, then yes - it is a worry.

I once killed our pc by searching for 'snowflake colouring pictures'

I had similar experience last week. DD (8.5)is doing a vast powerpoint project on 'animals' in which she creates a slide of information about a particular animal and then imports loads of relevant pictures which (I realise now) she generally finds via a search on Google images.

Sooo... she's done cats, horses, whales, sharks etc. Unfortunately, the last animal she looked for images of was 'beaver'.

Cue one rather confused DD, and one guilty mother desperately investigating parental control software.

SueW · 09/05/2008 07:05

Same here MrsBadger.

And my google is set to default moderation (moderate, not strict).

I don't have any problem with beaver images either.

Perhaps you should check your google settings?
