Hi all - DS is 5 months old. My wife is now pregnant, due in summer. So we will have 2 children under 13 months. I gave birth to DS1 so am on mat leave for the full year and will go back part time, a mixture of day shifts, weekend and evenings when DS2 is about a month old. My wife will take the full year mat leave. Finances are okay and we don't really want DS1 in nursery until he's 2 years old. We are under no illusion that we are in for a chaotic ride for the next couple of years but are not planning on having any more kids as IVF has been a rollercoaster so we are 'two and done'! Any tips on how others managed with a close age gap? Any life hacks we should know about to see us through? Thanks in advance!

Unless you have someone else to baby sit, put DS1 in nursery. A 1 month old newborn and a 14 month old will be hell for your wife. Do not underestimate how much energy and entertainment a 14 month old needs.
