Hi! I’m a last year uni student writing my dissertation on parental mentalization how parents view their children, I’m looking for 2-4 participants to take part in online interviews which would be a short series of questions with full confidentiality in dissertation. The study is based on exploring themes in parenting experiences and parental mentalization, I picked this topic as I find it fascinating to learn about different experiences. In order to learn this, I would ask you questions to gain information about you and your relationship with your child and your own childhood. It is entirely up to u whether you wish to take part or not but if you do wish too full confidentiality will be ensured. It would be a question based interview via Microsoft teams or zoom at any time that suits us both. It could last approximately one to one and a half hours, you may request a break during the interview and u are free to terminate the interview at any time u choose. The interview will be recorded and transcribed verbatim using teams or zoom record feature. Any identifying details such as your name will be removed. After the interview we will have a debrief where u can ask any question discuss your thoughts and feelings if u wish. I will also provide support services available should you require them. This is a voluntary participation, your confidentiality and anonymity will be strictly maintained. I’d be happy to provide a full debrief consent form if you wish to take part, your participation will be greatly appreciated!:)
