Did your kids palette change?

So my son is going through an anti fruit phase at the moment (apart from some banana, bit of Pb on there) and my youngest is too! They’re 3 and 1

They’ll eat fruit at nursery but since weaning my youngest has hated banana, DS always loved. Youngest has pear at nursery I tried at home she didn’t bother.

I keep offering fruit and veg will this help them try more?

feel like a shit mum because they don’t really want fruit or veg :/ I sneak it in

Palate. Palette is completely different!

But yes; their taste buds change and develop. Usually when you've stocked up the thing that they would always eat, but now hate.

DD has always hated most fruit - she’s 20 now and still the same so some things never change! Loves vegetables though so I really didn’t fuss too much over it.

They're so young. My 3 year old scoffed nothing but mango and raspberries for a month. Then one week was like "mango? What the fuck is one of those?"

Don't worry about it.

I wouldn't overthink at this stage just go with the flow and whatever needed to survive.

My 10 year old at 3years old was not a big fan of veg, fish or many fruits. He now is obsessed with all things Japanese including sushi.

Their tastes will change.

My husband didn't eat much healthy food untill he met me. When dating he didn't want to seem unadventurous in front of me. Now he loves so much variety much to the annoyance of his mum who tried for years with the whole you can't leave the table till you've eaten all of xyz 😬 wouldn't advise that approach
