Dynamic for a 4 year age gap

How did you find the dynamic of a 4 year age gap, did it stay consistent or did it change as they grew. My boys are 8 and 4 and currently get on pretty well. They play a lot of games together and still have things in common.
I was figuring out that my eldest will be in year11 by the time youngest starts year7 at school and wondered how much their closeness may change.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have 4 years between two of mine and actually as younger children they weren’t that close. From 14/18 they got much closer and then from now (17/21) they’re super close and genuinely great mates.
