Monitoring Whatapp

Hello, I'm really worried my child is getting bullied on WhatsApp. Seems friends don't have timers and restrictions in place like we do and child is getting excluded from conversations and groups and now at school. They are deleting messages as they know I check phone. Child is only 10 - is there an app to monitor their WhatsApp on my phone. Hopefully just temporary solution but I'm unsure how to support my child on this. Thanks! X

At age 10 they are too young for WhatsApp!
esp if they are already hiding things. Aged 10!

whatsapp is for 12+ for a reason.

i urge you to remove it or restrict it, you can stop groups. But you really need a proper conversation about it and phone use in general. Help your child to understand the risks of WhatsApp and the internet in general.

put some parental controls on their phone.

my 14yo told me that parents who give phones and sm to young children should consider giving their child up for fostering as they are not parenting their child! He’s smart.
I know it hard but they don’t need sm or WhatsApp, and if you think they are being bullied you can remove it and that stops that.
