How is everyone coping when their little one is ill? This is the second night and I'm losing my mind over lack of sleep. Nothing works and as soon as you put her down she cries because she can't breathe. I spent until 5am last night getting her to sleep and trying to put her down and gave up for the last two hours then held her and got my partner to switch with me becoi was so tired.

She's had a warm bath, ibuprofen, nose spray, snot sucker, humidifier in bedroom, calpol plug in, snuffle babe oil in room, vapour run on her check, back and feet. She's slept for 25 minutes so far and then I had a breakdown because I can't do another night like last night so my partner has her currently, but how do we get to sleep??

Do you mean medical helplines? Call 111 for medical advice.

Cosleep is the way forward when they’re ill.

Have you tried propping up the head end of her cot on a few books so her head is elevated?

Otherwise I'd probably bring her into bed with me and let her sleep propped up on the pillows. It probably isn't ideal but if your partner can sleep elsewhere so it is only the two of you in the bed you might stand a chance of getting some sleep.

Chin up, right now you are in the trenches but this won't last long.

No, medically I think she's just ill, I just need somewhere to talk to get advice on how to cope through the nights I'd love to Co sleep but I don't trust our matress is safe enough for her as the springs feel sharp and there's dip in it where it's old!
