We have a 3 bedroom house, 2 double size rooms and 1 box room. Our DD 11 is in one, us (Mum and Dad) in the other and our DS 4 months will go into the box room when he is old enough. We have just found out we are expecting again and are unsure of what to do? I don’t feel its fair for DD 11 to have to lose her room as she will need this space more and more in the next few years. The box room will fit a single bed but I doubt it will fit bunkbeds but if it does this could be a option? Alternatively I am thinking we could split our room? We do have a dining room that we could use as a bedroom for us but we would need to be upstairs for the children really. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'd give DD the box room and have the two youngest sharing the bigger second room.

Shame for DS to move yes, but fairest in the long run as she has her own room rather than sharing with a much younger her sibling.

Baby can sleep in your room for at least a year or 2. Honestly, if it was me, I’d be looking to move in the years to come as you will not all fit comfortably beyond the baby/toddler years and realistically, children live at home into adulthood. I think you have outgrown your house in the longer term.

Sorry just to add moving is not a option at all for us due to many reasons.
