Ready for baby 2?

I have a ten month old who is absolutely beautiful and the love of our lives. Lately I've been so broody but I only want to be pregnant, I don't think I'm ready for another baby yet.

Me and my husband are older and already agreed we don't want a large age gap, he is telling me to get the coil removed but I don't think I'm quite ready yet. Anyone else experienced being broody for the pregnancy part only?

I had a rough pregnancy so don't understand why I'm craving it 😂

I'm in the same boat OP. I'm dreaming about being pregnant again but when I imagine the reality.. more of a nightmare😂 Recently discussed with a friend however, and we came to the conclusion that there's no perfect time really to add a second. 2 babies- tough for obvious reasons. Baby and a slightly older toddler - toddler constantly on the move and needing a lot of your undivided attention. Baby and a school goer - older child jealousy is a potential issue and you have school drop offs, after school activities, play dates and general busyness. Now all my wonderful negativity aside, there's also so many beautiful moments to look forward to. My long winded point is there's not going to be a perfect time. If you're in the frame of mind to be pregnant again then maybe the rest will come soon.. when you feel ready enough, don't overthink it😊

@remaininghopeful23 I totally agree that there are benefits and downsides no matter how big the age gap. I'm worried that if I get my body and some semblance of a life back, I won't want to go again, but at the moment I'm already getting woken multiple times a night and I'm breastfeeding still. My only real concerns about getting pregnant now are that we would have to get my little girl to sleep on her own first, she screams if I even try to put her in her cot to sleep.

I think as soon as I'm broody for the baby part and not just the pregnancy part, we'll go again. It could take a while to get pregnant although we were very lucky to catch our second month of trying last time.
