Child maintenance and self employed

I hope this is the right section to ask this!

I’ve recently made a well over due application to CMS

my abusive ex is self employed and lies through his teeth to the tax man

i have one child.

he earns about £800-£1000 a week (I do not know what he does with it) and works away Monday to Friday. My son stays with him at ex house 1-2 nights a week

will the CMS look at his bank accounts or just take his word on what he earns.

he’s going to receive the application soon (sent to his mums) and will go insane as asked to come to agreement. But he hasn’t paid for anything for our son for months and I’ve had enough.

any advice would be welcome thank you

No they don’t look at his bank accounts, they look at his tax return.

If you believe that is incorrect you would need to report that to HMRC.
