Ds fell asleep on his way home in the car today at 4 pm and we knew then that we would be in for a long evening.

He is still roaming around downstairs while dh is sat in front of the TV, and I'm hiding up here.

OH GOD YES

DS2 standing here 'drawing'.

No, bedtime is 7 - 7.30 and we NEVER have them down after that, I've had enough by then, they both lie in bed, talking to themselves or just fiddling around with cuddly toys or whatever until they drop off, but definitely in bed. In fact by 6.45 I'm getting snappy if they're stalling or not getting undressed quick enough. No wonder you're hiding. How old?

22 months

Ds is co-sleeping with us and there is no way he would stay in bed atm, he is just not tired now.

Both mine were awake until gone 8 (dd2 normally in bed at 6.30)

Awake SCREAMING (dd1) and making repetetive statements (dd2)

Beauregard · 05/05/2008 22:01

dd2 just gone to sleep

popstar · 05/05/2008 22:04

Yup- DS (4) lying half in and half out bedroom door using hall light to read magazine. Has been put to bed numerous times so far this evening.
Don't know what happened- was a fantastic sleeper until about 6 months ago. DD (6) sound asleep since 8.30.

DevilwearsPrada · 05/05/2008 22:18

Oh yes same problem here, both dd1 (5) and dd2 (19m) fell asleep on the way home today at 4pm. DD1 went up at 7:30 as usual but only just went to sleep. DD2 has been running round like a blue arse fly all night and has finally just collapsed and I've stuck her in the pram.

emkana · 05/05/2008 23:23

Fell asleep at 11.04 pm
