3 year old sleep is killing me

Hi, my 3 year old has always been a pretty bad sleeper - until about 18 months he was up literally every 20-40 mins every night. Then he suddenly started sleeping through for about 6 months. The last year he’s been going to bed fine, with me laying next to him, then wakes up around midnight and either wants to get into our bed or wants me to sleep in his bed. I usually just give in as I’m so tired and we live in a flat and I worry about waking neighbours as he will start crying loudly. Once he’s in our bed he doesn’t just sleep though - he wakes up every hour so asking for things like water, cuddles, he needs a wee, wants milk. I don’t know what to do, he also only wants me not his dad. Today we have been up since 4.30. I feel like he’s got full control of the household and I think I’m probably too soft. He stays at my mums every 2 weeks or so and mostly sleeps through the night!! And she’s not lying, I’ve witnessed it!! Any help appreciated.

Well you already know the answer. You need to sleep train him and be super consistent.

It’s time to sleep train him im afraid. Look at Lisa Clegg the blissful sleep expert, she’s a miracle worker.
