Baby poo PHOTO TRIGGER WARNING

Baby boy is 6 weeks old, and since being born he's only had 3 pastey poos the rest are water. Every time he poos he goes red and cries but his poos are just runny.
He also sounds congested on some feeds, hiccups a lot, very windy. I'm thinking he could have a milk allergy, does this poo look like it could be a milk allergy?

Spoken to health Vistor and have a gp appointment tomorrow

Don't think it's out of the ordinary. Is he bottle fed?

Is he EBF? My little girl is and her poos looked like this.
She also hiccuped a lot in the first couple of months.

No he's on cow and gate

Mine is on cow & gate, his poos pretty much always looked like this until we started weaning. He's 9 months and still sometimes goes a bit red when pushing.

Forgot to add, he has always was and still is a hiccupy baby!

He's only consuming liquid, he's hardly going to have a firm poo each time ever

We had poos like this and changed to hipp organic on a friends advice and it made everything a million times better. Less pain, straining, sick, hiccups etc, so may not necessarily be an allergy.

My DS was cows milk protein intolerant and had wet green nappies like this. Definitely try changing to a dairy free formula BUT see GP first as they can test for intolerance but only if baby is still taking the dairy formula.
My DS was a different baby once e finally got him sorted. A lot less fretful and unsettled

DD2 is 3 months, also on C&G and her nappies look exactly like this.

Edited to add: she also goes red and strains/concentrates, which sometimes made me think she was constipated but when I changed her, her nappies were like this.

DS’s poos looked like that until he was about 2.5 - they don’t do solid little logs until they are potty trained I’m afraid.

Would be interested In an update as I have an 8 week old with runny poos since birth, but because he's gaining weight and is generally well they're not really entertaining an allergy. First time mam here so would love to know your outcome!

@TheBreezyKoala he got a milk allergy and reflux he's on prescription milk and his poo is not funny anymore xx
