New baby bouncer regulations?

This is a very small petty thing and completely unimportant but I just found it interesting and can’t find anything online about it.

DS2 is 12 weeks old. We have two baby bouncer/rockers for him, from different brands. I originally wanted to repurchase the same bouncer we had for DS1, who is 3. He had a lovely fisher price rainforest bouncer but looks like they’ve been completely discontinued? I can only find second hand ones on eBay.

I’ve noticed the toy bars that you clip in over the new bouncers are really easily detachable and just flick off with very little effort. One of them works with magnets.

With DS1’s bouncer, it would firmly click into the bouncer. To be honest I find it a bit annoying because it keeps coming off constantly and DS2 keeps kicking it off.

Has anyone heard of a change in regulations for baby bouncers? Was there an incident which lead to this change??? I assume there is a justified safety reason behind it.

Has anyone else noticed this?

No idea about any new regulations but we bought a bouncer 7 months ago (Bright Starts, bought from Amazon) and the toy bar slots in fairly firmly, DS has never managed to dislodge it himself but it's very easy to remove with one hand to put him in the bouncer.

Ooh interesting. I also have a Bright Start one from amazon! Maybe I just got unlucky with both haha.
