Hi, so my nearly 9 month olds sleep has been absolutely awful since he turned 6 months old. 2 hours is the most he will sleep before he wakes and wants to be latched to me. He will not take a dummy or a bottle of milk. He was sleep trained at 4 months but all of this went out the window when he hit 6 months. I have tried re starting sleep training but it just doesn’t work anymore, I’ve tried letting him cry it out for around 5 minutes before I go back to him as it’s unbearable listening to him scream. Nothing seems to be working and I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with our second baby so the tiredness is really getting to me. He is currently eating 3 decent size meals a day along with breast milk before each nap. He has 2-3 naps a day depending on when he wakes up, naps are no longer than 30 minutes and he wakes up happy each time. I do know his sleep cues really well so naps shouldn’t be an issue, however I have relied on feeding to sleep since he was born. I have no clue how to stop this as I don’t want him to be hungry but do realise this could be an issue with self settling, especially in the middle of the night. He did manage to fall asleep for his first stretch without being latched when he was sleep trained but I would always feed him back to sleep throughout the night. His dad would be happy to help with the nights but he just screams until I let him latch back on as he refuses a bottle which makes him even worse. I know babies are supposed to wake through the night but I would love to have at least 4-6 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night so I am just wondering if anyone has any advice.
Thank you in advance
