3 year old's appetite

3 years and 3 month old had a large bowl of spaghetti bolognese for dinner and then ate...

Toasted hot cross bun with butter
One apple
One satsuma
Rice cake with humous
Babybel
2 oatcakes

Is anyone else's 3 year old like this? Holy bloody moly. I don't know what he ate at nursery today but it's usually something like curry, casserole, etc. So hot filling meals and 2 healthy snacks morning and afternoon too.

He's short and bloody solid built these days but clearly not overweight. He is very active so I know that plus all the rapid development and growth means he'll be eating a lot. But bloody hell! Spend my days opening cupboards to feed him. Breakfast at the
moment is often cereal or porridge followed by egg and soldiers. I can barely face a bowl of cereal in the morning myself!

My daughter will be 3 in March and this is very familiar. Her favourite catchphrase at the moment is 'I'm still hungry' - it's like we just can't fill her! My own mum said it's a growth spurt and just go with it, like your son she isn't overweight and is very very active!

Totally agree. And his appetite definitely goes up and down. It's still mind boggling though!

My child is four & eats nowhere near this.
He’s never been a big eater, and I worry that he needs more variety as he’s getting much fussier about what he’ll have.

It's definitely not like this every day. But he's been going through a phase of eating like this for a while.
