please some advice!!- violent and explosive 22 months old boy

Hi there

Im in need of some advice, as a don t know what to do anymore , my 22 months old son hits everybody that cames near him and sometimes with no apparent reason, he just slaps me his minder or other kids. speacily when he doessn t get his on way he just hits anybody in his way and things just go fly doesn t matter what , a toy , a stone a cup he just goes crazy!! I tray to calm him down, sit him on the floor and tell him that its not nice and get him to appologize, but he kips on doing it all the time.
We are changing minder now because his minder its quiting to have a baby and im just terreified that his next minder wouldn t have him as soon as she realises he is like that
!!
Please can somebody give some advice

Is his speech good? Is he getting frustrated and is unable to explain what's wrong? Can you distract him just before he does it, or is it totally unexpected?

Its alright maybe u can help after i answer the questions. No he is latte with speaking as we are biligual so i doesn t speak much, just gobles, most of the times it cames quite unexpected and i dont have the time to prevent it he just trow thighs and screams or goes to the nearest person and start to hit her. Do you have any advice on who to deal with it? is it normal or should I look for qualified advice?

sounds like typical toddler behaviour, made worse by frustration at not being able to adequately communicate. it will pass, and get easier, as he talks more.

thank u for the advice it make me feel a bit more relaxed, but I still wonder if it is a bit to much even for toddler behaviuor, he is so agressive

my DD went through very similar behaviour , when she was a little older. to the point i stopped taking her to mums & tots group as she was being so horrible. bit another child, pulled others off the slide if she wanted a go. etc. etc. it was horrible and embarassing.

it did stop!! she was struggling to communicate and made a huge difference when her speech progressed.

just keep on doing what you are doing, and try not to get too upset.

thats exactly what im going trough, Im so scared that the new minder will not whant him and i will have to quite work

she is the sweetest most polite almost 3 year old now, she is a dream !

any minder who cannot cope with normal frustrated toddler behaviour should not be minding children!
