Hoping for some advice, I posted in the middle of the week and ended up taking DS2 to the hospital with a 40.5 fever , he ended up getting diagnosed with influenza and was very poorly for 3 days. He’s now made a remarkable recovery but has a lingering cough, he’s been coughing since Wednesday but today my auntie mentioned that it sounds similar to a croup cough. FTM and felt bad for not even considering it but listened to a video online and he deffo doesn’t sound like the seal videos. And DS cough is very snotty but during the end of the cough fit once the snot is out I guess sounds a tiny bit barky? He’s completely fine in himself albeit the cough, no wheezing noises or breathing problems .

could it be croup ?

MY son had croup twice and it was very obvious, the whole cough was a bark.
