DD is 18mo and refuses to wear gloves and it's so cold right now we get 5 mins down the road and she says her hands are cold and gets upset.

We have tried socks, mittens, finger gloves with characters on, putting her hands inside her footmuff but she hates this all and throws colossal tantrums every time...It's getting to the point where I won't be able to take her out in the pram during this cold spell.

Has anyone had something similar and found a solution that works?

What about one of the children's hand muffs/hand warmers that are shaped like a toy?

What happens once they are cold will she let you put mittens on them then and hold a hand warmer?

DS2 was like this. I cut out the tantrums and stopped trying to put anything on him and waited until he got upset because his hands were cold then offered him hand warmers/mittens/a blanket or whatever.
I can sympathise with how frustrating it is, he was like this about so many things.
He's now 14 and still hates gloves and hats. He says although they are warmer they make him feel itchy and tingly and that's worse than feeling cold. He is still really pernickety about a lot of things he hated as a toddler, certain fabrics, bland food, certain noises.
