My youngest daughter is dating a father of two children. They've set up home together in a private rent. She works all hours to support the household as he flits from job to job. He is controlling and has ended it on several occasions when she goes out with her friends. I can tell she's uneasy with him as when they're together she freezes when he touches her. She won't hear a bad word said about him. He's now proposed and she's accepted. We're all devastated. I've tried to tell her gently that her room at home is always there, should she need it. I'm heartbroken. I just don't know how to deal with this. Yes I know she's an adult but how do I stand by and see her living like this?
