My 2 month old son has been combi fed hip organic with expressed breast milk from birth, however he seems to get quite unsettled when he eats and cries a lot after, even though we are burping him and using infacol. We eventually settle him for his naps with a mix of swaddling and holding him with his tummy pressed into us.

the doctor said it can’t be CMPA as he doesn’t have a rash, and he is being sick so said it’s not reflux. They think it’s just colic and to ride it out.

The HV said to try the comfort version of the milk which we have just tracked down - but 2 days on it has turned his poos horrific and he is still screaming and now not finishing the bottle.

How long should we persevere with the comfort milk, or is it worth trying another brand altogether? Was considering Kendamil as saw that maybe it could be the palm oil

I think the GP might be slightly confused.

There are two types of CMPA, IGE abc non-IGE abc a rash doesn't always appear with non-IGE. In fact I've got non-IGE CMPA and don't have a rash.

Kellymom describes it well here.

I'd also give Allergy UK a call tomorrow and talk it through with them Flowers
