Dutch commemorative birth tiles!

Hi, my DH, who is Dutch, has a beautiful Delft tile commemorating his birth - it shows where he was born, the date, the time, the weight etc. Do Dutch families still do this? And if so any idea how we could get one painted for our DS?
Thanks!

oooh yes, I have one (40 years old!) and my mum got one made for my DD so they are still available. Will try to find out where she got it (think it was a catalogue).

here you go

This is exactly what I've got (I've got the plates but they've got the tiles too)

It's a family tradition now. I've got mine up next to DDs.

some slightly different designs

They're lovely aren't they?

Does your DH also have those chocolate sprinkles on bread? I used to love it when our Dutch stepmother brought those back from Holland!

Hi margoandjerry, thanks so much for that and sorry for the delay in responding. Yes the tiles are lovely. And yes DH does get the chocolate sprinkles - not really my thing - and chocolate letters - which are.
