2 year old with one smelly armpit?!

Not Sure where this should be posted really

A few days ago I noticed my 2 nearly 3 year old DD, has one smelly armpit. It’s an adult body odour smell, quite strong and it’s definitely only one armpit that smells. She has a bath everyday.

has anyone got any idea what could cause this? I’m concerned and the obvious first thought is precocious puberty. Why would it be just in one armpit though? There’s no sign of skin irritation or anything like that.

What are you washing her with? Does she have clean clothes every day?

If she sleeps on her side then the armpit that doesn't get any air overnight can be the one to smell. But I'm saying that as an adult. I think it's unusual for a toddler to have BO if they've had a bath recently.

Fungal maybe.

Wash her with proper soap, air her skin and make surely all creases are dried propetly

Use proper hard soap instead of body wash and see if it clears up

If I use shower gel my armpits smell odd but If use proper old fashioned bars of soap (not dove) like imperial leather,Palmolive it stops

Don't wash her for a while then both armpits will be equally smelly.

Use proper bar soap for just under her arms, however I agree with pp if it's the side she mainly sleeps on. You could try wiping it with some antibacterial hand gel as that sorted my one smelly armpit out. Read that tip on here.
