Any balance bike recommendations for a tall 3 year old please? Needs to be light as I will no doubt end up carrying it haha! I'm not even sure he's going to take to it but will look at second hand. Thanks

Look at Isla and frog bikes. I would check out ebay and their facebook selling pages.

You probably want to look at a balance bike with 14 inch wheels. The Frog Tadpole Plus is a good one, Squish also do a 14 inch bike and there are probably others. I'd go for a good brand second hand in preference to brand new at the same price though, and get the lightest you can, as weight really does make a difference to children this age. One with a back brake is also a good idea, so you can start introducing the idea of stopping with brakes rather than just using feet.

For a tall 3-year-old, choose a lightweight bike attachment for kids like the Strider 12 or woom GO 1, it helps little ones learn balance easily while being light enough for parents to carry when they’re tired. Go for an adjustable seat (around 30–35 cm) and 12–14″ wheels to fit their height and growth. If buying second-hand, check the frame and tires for wear. A good-quality bike attachment makes the first riding experience fun, safe, and effortless for both you and your child.
