Just found out we're expecting our second baby, with an 18 month age gap. I'm both nervous and excited so just wondering if anyone has any words of advice or even what the reality of 2 under 2 is like?

I had a newborn and a 12 month old. I enjoyed it!

Had a 14 month gap, lots of benefits. No carting eldest to pre-school with a newborn, both nap during the day, into the same sort of toy and activity stages for much of their childhood.

Hard work but at least you get the baby/toddler stage out the way more quickly.
Nursery fees will sting for a while but then it will be over.

My boys have an 18m gap, they are now 6 and 4. It's hard work when they're younger but gradually gets easier as they get older. There's only 1 school year between them so was lovely when they were in nursery together and they had the same friends. Also great for doing activities and buying toys as can easily cater to both. Double buggy kept me sane and got us out. They both had meltdowns going into car seats at one point so was easier to walk!
