Actimel for 3 year old

My 3 year old and I are both on a course of antibiotics. I always take one actimel a day while I'm on antibiotics and wondered about giving him the same. He's nearly 3 and a half and Google search says he's ok to have them. Does anyone else do this? Am I missing a reason why he shouldn't drink them?

It's probably okay, but fyi they are really packed with sugar

No problem. It’s a yoghurt. My 2 yo loves an actimel. There are lower sugar options (eg any live plain yoghurt) if you prefer. Optibac do kids probiotics but by the time they arrive you’ll probably be back to normal. A good thing to take regularly anyway as far as I know.

And hope you’re both better soon!

Thanks, didn't consider the sugar but would only be for the duration of the course of antibiotics anyway. He's not eating much so a wee bit of sugar will maybe perk him up.
