Hi all, long time reader but first time poster here so hope this is all in the right area..

I have a nearly 5month old DC who used to sleep well in their bed (and nap) from the start, started sleeping 10:30pm-6am for 3 weeks then the sleep regression hit along with bad reflux, a cold etc.

It’s now been over 4 weeks of sleeping for up to an hour and then waking every 20/30/40 mins thereafter all night. Won’t resettle if left, don’t jump straight away etc. Will mostly partially wake and just want to hold hands or dummy replaced and settles again or thrashes about and can’t settle but as soon as lifted out in my arms- fast asleep again!

When we visit DGP house will however sleep 5 hours or so on a row before a wake and we are in the same room, same routine, same temperature etc- I just don’t get why sleeps better there and why nothing I do is helping improve it.

Sorry for the length but any thoughts or tips? A settled night and even short block of sleep would be lovely!

Sounds like their sleep cycle has been disrupted 😩

We had to focus on the day time naps first and put her in a really strict routine. Look at was she getting to tired? Too stimulated? Was I missing sleep cues? This then set the way to better sleep at night.

I followed the baby sleep whisperer and did wake to sleep and it worked

Basically you gently disturb them before they come out of a sleep cycle and they go back of in to another cycle with out waking up .

It was hard during the night but it did work
