Cold sore and Baby

Hi everyone,

last week I felt a slight pain on my lip which sometimes can mean I have a cold sore coming, I took my aciclovir tablets straight away and nothing came of it.
my 9 month old has a slight red mark under his eye and some white little bumps, maybe 2/3? Hard to get a close look as he is so wriggly! I am filled with worry that I have passed on herpes to him. Is that how a cold sore would start in a baby?

It does not sound like a cold sore (at all) so please dont panic. Having said that, because you're talking about a baby, it's near the eye, and there's no photo to say what else it could be, I would still get them seen by a doctor and explain your worry about your cold sore.
