DD 2.6 and first attempt at toilet training. Total nightmare. Has been holding her pees in all day, holding on to self and dancing about crying and being very clingy. Managed to get the second half of a few pees in the potty, followed by lots of praise etc but seemed to be getting more distressed as day went on and eventually refusing to go on potty or toilet. Accepted that she is not ready yet so put nappy back on late afternoon and intend not to mention it again. But since then she has been holding in even with nappy on, getting upset again. Anyone have similar experience? advice?
