Is it normal to worry that your a bad mummy?

I have a one year old who I love more than anything in this world. He is my absolute life.

I worry excessively that I'm a bad mum. I'm a chronic over thinker and suffer with anxiety which I'm currently in counselling for.

I've always thought, am I good enough?

Tonight I feel quite emotional about it all. I just hope I'm a good mum to my little boy. :(

Do any of you worry this ?

Just remember, bad mums don't worry about whether they're good mums - I'm sure you're doing just fine by your little boy ❤️

OP,

I suffer from post natal anxiety myself (even with my 5th child), and i have to remind myself -

My baby is fed, clean, has somewhere to live, she is warm, safe, is stimulated and above all - she is loved (and feels loved). These are the basics.

There are so many examples in this world of where babies and children are mistreated. If you are worried about being a bad Mum, like the previous comment, chances are that you are doing ok.

Being a mother is anxiety-inducing. Even my mother said that you never stop being worried about your children, even when they’re adults. It is simply a form of caring. We all want the best for our child.

Good luck OP.
