Hello,
My dd has had lots of problems with her teeth. A first top molar needed a filling , it kept falling out, she would go and have it refilled. This was a continuous process until eventually the tooth failed and she suffered with an abscess . The dentist killed the tooth and is keeping an eye on it but is trying to keep the tooth in for spacing , it causes her no pain. She has recently had a small filling on one of her bottom molars and the same thing is happening ! The filling has fallen out for the 4th time in a matter of months, it is only lasting a few weeks, then we have to wait weeks for an appointment! The last time they made the hole bigger to see if it would bond better but it hasn't worked 🥲
Dd doesn't have any hard or chewy sweets , she has always had a really good oral hygiene routine, her diet isn't bad . Her adult teeth have already been coated because they have pits in the surface of them that the toothbrush can't reach . The dentist has reassured me that it isn't anything that we're doing , it is the structure of her teeth .
Has anyone else experienced this and is there anything else I can do to try and keep the filling in? I have older children who have never had an issue with their teeth so I am shocked and so sad that dd has to go through this . Luckily she absolutely adores the dentist so isn't phased by having treatment .
Thanks for reading .
