3 year old doesn’t cry when hurt

Hi,

just wanted to ask a general question as I don’t want to google because it’s a slippy slop lol

my DD just turned 3 end of August and she doesn’t really cry when she’s hurt? Like if she is really hurt then she will but if she just falls over she gets back up again looks at me for a second then carries on, her little friend hit her the other day and she didn’t bother but she then pushed her little friend away and her the friend (who’s exactly the same age as her) screamed and cried until she was blue in the face.

one person did tell me before that their little one didn’t cry and was autistic and now it’s just playing on my mind, please don’t bash me just wanted to see if this was a ‘normal’ thing or do I need to look into things?

You say she cries when really hurt, then the other times she was probably just able to deal with a small amount of pain and crack on. Many children will fall over and get straight back up, some are more sensitive than others. I wouldn’t worry too much if there aren’t any other signs of autism. By 3 you’d likely be seeing other traits by now.
