Hello!
I am wanting to hear routines for your 10month old babies. I am getting abit nervous about starting to wean off bottles and wondering how/when to start reducing milk and making solids the priority.

Our current routine
6.30am - we wake him
6.30am - 8oz bottle
7.30am - breakfast (porridge/weetabix)
9 - 10am - first nap (we cap at one hour)
10.30ish - 8oz bottle
12ish - snacky lunch
1 - 3pm - second nap
3pm - 5oz bottle
5pm - solids dinner
6.30pm - 8oz bottle
6.45pm - bed

he sleeps through and has to be woken from mostly all naps and 50% of mornings (lucky I know!!!)he finishes most of his milk for all bottles (29ounces per day total) . He is eating well but lunch is hit and miss for actual intake as we are usually out so he gets distracted.

That similar to my 10 month old, though I have the same question! I’m slowly trying to replace her 10am bottle with a snack but so far whenever I try, she cries for a bottle so it ends up being 4 oz formula + small snack

My baby is 12 months next week! He had a similar routine 6 weeks ago but in the past 6 weeks has dropped feeds/bottles (he’s stopped nursing) and now only has a bottle before bed and one either at 4pm (my preference) or 4am 🫣, he doesn’t always have milk at 4pm and if he skips this he always wakes in the night for milk. My challenge is to get him to consistently take the milk at 4pm so he sleeps through!

Ive always been baby led and he’s sorted himself into what the various apps have suggested but it isn’t anything I’ve done! He’s also started to refuse being fed from a spoon and wants to feed himself - which again is new this week.

Milk needs to be a big part of their diet for several more months. They still need the calcium for bones and teeth and they need much more liquid in their diet than an older child because of their little kidneys. Don't rush it!

I think what he has sounds good for now. Gradually replace all but the night bottle with a toddler cup of milk and some fruit/a not sweet biscuit/similar toddler snack, but there's no rush to do that.

My dd turned 11 months yesterday, daytime routine has been the same for last month or so-
wake 6:30-7 she’s generally not hungry when she wakes as she feeds throughout the night (not a great sleeper- feeds to sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️)
breakfast 8:00
feed 9:30-10 for morning nap wakes 11-11:30
lunch 12:00
snack 1:30-2 (cucumber or grapes or melon)
feed at 3:00 for afternoon nap
wakes 3:30-4
dinner 5:00
she will sometimes have 3oz bottle at about 6-6:30 for supper depending on how much she has eaten for dinner.
feed at 7:00 for bedtime.

The current advice is 13.5 Floz per day between 10 and 12 months.

I would drop the 10.30 bottle first and offer a snack and a cup of milk instead.
