My daughter is 11 months old and still waking up during the night every night for milk. How do I stop this? She’s 1 in a few weeks! Any advice would be extremely appreciated

I gave DC water in a bottle when they woke up, when they didn’t need the milk any longer, but were still waking. They soon lost interest.

I can't comment on formula feeding but lactation consultants recommend night weaning at about 18 months. I'm a breastfeeding peer supporter and many mums who feed until 3ish feed babies back to sleep with boob until 2+ so it's not abnormal. Substitution with water can work as can habit stacking to learn new ways of being comforted back to sleep.

Unless she isn't eating or boobing enough before bed your baby isn't waking for milk. She's asking for milk to help her go back to sleep. Which is normal at 1 and older.
