Son has flu and fever

Hi all just need some advice my son has been off school with flu/tonsillitis since Monday he has a temperature which goes up to 38.9 but comes down with Calpol his doctor has giving him antibiotics and his temperature is still going up his refusing food but having liquids and is only sitting on sofa not playing or anything I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this with there children I’m worried he ain’t himself thanks for reading

Has he been taking the antibiotics since Monday? How many days are left of the antibiotics?

It's good that he's having liquids and that the Calpol is bringing the temperature down.

Hi his 5 years old and he got them on Monday for the first few days his been spitting it out so wife has added it to his milkshake which he drinks fine

It might be worth speaking to someone at the pharmacy or your GP surgery if you think he didn't really have the first couple of days of antibiotics. If these weren't taken then the course will be incomplete and won't have been taking effect.
