How do I move baby from Co-sleeping to Cot?

How do I do this without her screaming her head off and without giving up breast feeding? Or am I asking too much?

Baby has just turned one. We’ve co-slept for a year and I don’t enjoy it, I feel so tense all night long and barely sleep.

Cot is in our room right next to our bed (we don’t have another room so that’s the only option). At night if either of us put her in it she screams to be in bed with me (to feed to sleep). During daytime naps she doesn’t feed to sleep but she still screams if either of us put her in the cot.

She’ll scream until she’s sick, I don’t want to do that to her. But I would really like my bed back, I feel so overwhelmed and like my body space isn’t my own.

No real answer but some solidarity- I’m 19months in to co sleeping / feeding to sleep and exhausted!
from my previous late night research people generally suggest getting a partner to take the reins for a few nights to start with. I don’t think there will be an easy way out!
Good luck and hopefully somebody else will have a more helpful comment!

Hi @YellowHatt and @BoldUser, I’m in a similar predicament. May I ask how you both got on with the cot in the end please?
