Hello, (I will keep a long story short) I’ve been dealing with Social Services for a few months due to a family member being not present to look after their 3 children.
Interim Care Order in place, no neglect or abuse towards children etc just circumstances where they’ve had to intervene.
A lot has happened I’d be here all day explaining but the social worker for the children isn’t sitting right with me. There was a first one but she told so many lies she left the case after being pulled up on it. He then got on the case.
He has stopped me being an Emergency Foster Carer for 1 child, as 1 child is allocated with a paternal family member (all good) and one WAS with another Emergency Foster Carer who was shambolic who is related to mother distantly, mother did not agree to this and didn’t want child in her care. SS disregarded this and placed child with her, child has extensive disabilities, intellectual disability and autism, GDD, Non verbal etc etc, I tried to warn SS of the Emergency Foster Carer constantly using drink and dr*gs, they would not listen. That placement broke down and her 16 week emergency placement run out so it was either re-place her elsewhere (they could not find no Foster Carer for love nor money) or extend the placement whilst other checks for the family friend was going through, BUT the family friend being assessed, her best friend is best friends with the social worker?? He said this was a conflict of interest as his manager noticed a lot of things was missed out on the viability asssessment and he had to go back and go over it again. Anyway fast forward the placement was approved, the 1st carer was due to drop the child to family friend of over 80 miles from her home and turned up drunk/stinking of booze, the social worker smelt this and allowed her to drive another 80 miles home, this is a man that has a duty of care and is in a position of trust I am sorry but he wouldn’t let me be an emergency carer because of my culture, I passed Level 2 Understanding Safeguard & Prevent and passed the DBS check no criminal record, also got approval from my GP, have a spare room etc met all 3 child’s needs over the last 11 years but I can’t? He’s allowed her to drive with a vulnerable child drunk and never reported this. I am questioning weather he is even fit to do his job, obviously he’s qualified and is mentally fit but who allows someone to drink drive down a motorway and put many life’s at risk? I can’t get my head around this many people are telling me to report him but do I? He’s said in the past a malicious complaint can go against my SGO assessment, this isn’t a malicious complaint as I have proof but I feel he’ll turn it on me and say it’s malicious. What do I do?
He has also rang the first carer in the past and told her contents of my viability assesment and home etc, he has a personal issue with me, I have no issue with him lol just want to get my family member out of care, he doesn’t think about the needs for the children it’s just what he thinks is suitable, he has failed to safeguard these children honestly. I just don’t understand I’ve been discriminated against my age, culture, ability to look after kids, bare in mind I’ve got my own kid, and looked after these along side family for a long time, the carers that have got the other 2 ain’t even ever had them and no experience, trying to accuse me of being involved in the criminal case I just don’t understand how he can be so against me n don’t even know me but allowing people to drug it up and drink and look after kids that’s actually classed as in care; under he’s care. Court guardian is absolutely disgusting can’t get no sense from her rings people up shouting and saucing them off
