Baby smiles for everyone but me

Feeling really sad my baby is 8 weeks and has been smiling for about 2 weeks for everyone else, dh gets a smile every time he walks in the room, so does his big sister but me - never, not once. I feel like he doesn't like me.
I spend all day with him playing, singing and smiling at him and he doesn't even look at me.

All 4 of mine did this.

They think of you as part of them. They don't need to charm you, you're totally taken for granted as they have complete trust in you.

Smiles will come. In time that will communicate their love to you, but it's comletely normal to be ignored at this age.

Until 6 months babies can see you as an extension of themselves, you and them are one whole and you are just apart of them! Therefore completely normal and common for others to get smiles before you, keep playing, smiling and be reassured they love you too! Keep going mama your doing amazing

Other forms of babies showing love is reaching out to touch your face while you are close to them, this is them showing affection and recognition of you caring for them- great milestone to come to if not already experienced!

Don’t worry, this will come. My baby was the same (he didn’t actually smile until around 10-12 weeks) and now at 5 months he is so smiley whenever I enter the room. It won’t be long until he sees your face for the first time in the morning and gives you big smiles!
