Hi I am currently going through a divorce and husb is still in the marital home refusing to leave. We have a joint mortgage and have a mediator on the case. I suspect he's going for a 50/50 shared custody case as he wants to pay less.
He is the full-time earner and I'm the primary caregiver and on a 3-day salary.
We have two kids aged 10 and 7 and i have done everything ie mainly looking after.
I am wondering what others have gone through and how child access arrangements have been sorted. My children get anxious when I'm not around. This year, as my ex has been instructed by his sols, he is now insisting on doing more pickups, drops, and bedtimes even though he was aloof to it before.
What arrangements have worked best?
I would prefer a weekend arrangement so kids don't feel too unsettled. I cant stand these half week arrangements. Also the marital mortgage is too high for me to take on although i pay all the house bills.
Looking for some friendly advice and parenting examples please.
My ex is a disaster and i want this nightmare to end quickly but worried he's going to force a sale on the house.
