Is 12M too late to try a dream feed?

Baby is waking around 4.30/5am for a feed and it’s a struggle as I can’t get back to sleep after that. I also can’t fall asleep before 10.30/11pm and really need more than 6 hours a night. It’s been a year of about six hours a night and I’m starting to really feel the effects of this. He’s close to dropping the night feed I guess since it’s getting later and later in the morning. So wondering if introducing a 10pm feed is a bad idea…

I wouldn't be giving a dream feed at this age (in fact it's not something I've ever did). It's just going to move the problem to earlier on in the night and I'd be wary of giving them digestive problems or a sore tummy as well by giving milk that late at night.

It's probably a hugely unpopular opinion but it might be that the 4/5am feed is habit than a need for milk. We had this problem and gave water instead of milk and within a few nights they were sleeping through.

We also switched to water and it worked. Send the other parent if there is one.

I wouldn't want to be woken to eat so I never woke my child at any age
