I was wondering if there if anyone has actually managed to get their sticky paws on a P&T Vibe and if so, what do you think of it??

i saw one out and about in SW London last week and it looked pretty cool, if not at all like the E3, more like a quinny. I was embarrassingly more interested in the Vibe than the lovely newborn inside it

Did they really think that name through? I wasn't expecting this to be a pushchair thread.

It's amazing. It nearly made me cry I want it so much. Why couldn't I have had my babies a couple of years later?

I'm such a sucker.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 29/04/2008 22:09

Like bran I am embarassingly diasappointed!

Thankyouandgoodnight · 30/04/2008 12:36

How brilliant - I'm such a square, it didn't occur to me . It just makes me want one all the more!

To be fair, I remember a time when a new pushchair was more exciting than a sex toy. It wasn't a stage that lasted long though.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 05/05/2008 20:11

Surely SOMEONE has got one by now .

Anyone??

There was a lady on here a couple of weeks ago who said she had ordered one and I begged her to come back and report! Maybe she is having so much fun pushing it in this nice weather that she forgot... disappointed with the Quinny comment though as I don't really like them. Tenterhooks here.

We must keep this bumped in the hopes that any vibe ladies will spot this!

Do you buy a new one every month?

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 20:54

I have a maclaren but unfortunately I have to buy a tandom buggy to accomodate the next sproggling that is due in the summer. On paper the Vibe looks the biz but in practice.......that's what I want to find out.

Thanks for bumping the thread

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 20:57

OOooh a proper person who ACTUALLY has one rather than just thinks that they want one .

Please tell me in MINUTE detail why you love it and do you honestly think it's any better than the Sport?

OP posts:
Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 21:00

Yes it's a double.

ok didn't have the sport but had a e3 and hated it!

main seat-

very thick luxurious padded liner make seat much more comfy and dd1 doesnt look so far down in it iykwim?

the strap bit thats connected to the back can be twisted and moved up and down to adjust the height to where shoulders are so no huge gap above lo

harned improved ten fold its just a easy 5 point harness rather than the old weird version thing!

bumper bar moves in two different positions

handle bar-

still adjust like the sp and e3 but the brake is on the handle. one click of a red button and the brake is on (a very good one too!) push down a blk button bit and brake off!

hood is bigger and better than before

second seat just as the main one except smaller!

no adaptors for second seat you just unclick the bumper bar and click on seat for the newborn toddler mode (which i used today with my 8 month old so she got a good nap! its so easy to quickly swap over)

the toddler seat folds with the buggy. you unclip some bits on chassis and push the main seat unit up and second seat forward and fold! you can also do that and tuck the second seat out the way under the bit that reclines the main (sorry to confuse!)

to fold the buggy has been improved you have two handle one each side lift up and press down on the saftey catch and then fold very very easy!

erm raincover for double much better doesnt flap about like old ones

i will keep thinking........

although the vibe is more expensive in my opinion its worth every penny! they have improved or changed everything i hated about the old models!

it looks bloody fantastic! soooo stylish! i get lots of looks with it! i am a complete pramaholic and i would go as far as saying that i am reformed

hope that helps? i have prob missed loads and will add on!

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 21:22

Oh brilliant thanks loads for this. Great piccy too!!!!

Do you have to have the bumper bar on it?

Can you get to the shopping basket ok with two kids in it?

The more gushing thoughts you have the better!

OP posts:
Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 21:23

Oh and can they sit upright or is it quite reclined?

OP posts:
YouNeverKnow · 06/05/2008 21:24

NO BUMPER BAR CAN BE LEFT OFF whoops caps
and shooping basket fine no more trouble than with others... you do still effectively have a childs feet in it though.. lol

YouNeverKnow · 06/05/2008 21:25

no sit upright very well. i hated how the main seat was so reclined in upright position on the older models

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 21:29

Can you bump it up steps ok?

Do you use buses and if so do you have to get on at the back rather than the front (ie is it too wide)?
