Norovirus and bronchiolitis

Looking for a hand hold! My little one has been quite poorly the past week with bronchiolitis, and is still congested/wheezing and off her milk.

My partner came down with norovirus today, which we hoped was food poisoning… its not, as I’ve just started vomiting too!

Terrified of my LO catching it, when she’s already unwell and not feeding as much. Is it inevitable? And how do I look after my poorly baby whilst having D&V 😭

Editing to add, currently having to cosleep so she stays settled whilst unwell, she’s 9 mo. DP is in the spare room.

Are sure your hand hygiene is top notch. Despite my best efforts me and my newborn ended up with conjunctivitis when I was looking after an ill toddler at the same time.

I hope you're all okay, OP.

Buckets, towels, bottles of water.

Noro is awful but it's quick. Is there anyone who.can come.and help out?

How are you this morning OP? As you’re both ill you could make a plan for today to alternate having dd for a couple of hours so you can both get some rest.

@ArabellaScott my mum helped out yesterday but probably isn’t keen to come back knowing it’s actually a bug! Hopefully she hasn’t got it.

@Overthebow we’re doing okay. Fortunately mine passed within the night and just have stomach pain and aches now. DP helped this morning and now we’ve swapped back. DD had an explosive nappy earlier so not sure if she’s picked it up, poor thing she’s really going through it this week. Is teething on top of it all!

Glad to hear you've made it and are improving, you poor things.

Just keep checking your DD's nappies are wet and heavy to make sure she's hydrated. Lots of skin to skin helps soothe and regulate breathing. It's horrible when babies are ill, but they do tend to recover very quickly. Hope you're all much better very soon.
