Any idea what this rash on my 3 month old is?

the rash has been there for about 2 months now. Sometimes it’s like this sometimes it fades a bit but never completely goes!

went to the gp over a month ago and she said there were a few things it could be but wasn’t sure so wanted a pediatrician to see. Pediatrics review clinic at hospital said appointment waiting time was 6 weeks so I was better off going to A&E as I’d be seen quicker as they’re so young. We did this. Pediatrician at hospital was sure either. She said it doesn’t look obviously like something in particular but that becuase he’s otherwise fit and well they’re not concern. They took swabs and said they’d be in touch if the swabs came back with anything concerning or requiring treatment. Never heard from them. Over a month later and it’s still here.

any ideas what it could be?

(yellow bit is poo - i was in the middle of cleaning nappy explosion and that’s when I noticed the rash had got really prominent again).

thanks in advance if anyone can please enlighten me as to what this is. I’ll take him back to gp on Monday but in the meantime if anyone has ever seen something like this before is really appreciate knowing.

thanks in advance! X

They look like bites, do you have mosquitos in the house, or bed bugs?

That’s what I thought at first, but sometimes they look like they have puss in them?

no bed bugs (it’s a relatively new mattress and I don’t have any bites (we co sleep))

also, at night he goes to bed in a sleep suit so legs and feet completely covered?

my cat did have fleas recently but he’s been treated and although he comes into the bedroom he doesn’t sleep in the bed or anything

I agree they look like individual spots or bites, I wouldn't describe that as a rash. Could easily be flea bites even if the cat doesn't sleep in / on the bed. If an animal has fleas they can be anywhere in the house and gardens. I would flea treat everything and hope that stops it. It's such a pain!
