Much to my dismay, my DS12 got dreadlocks. He has now caught lice from my DD7. Does anyone know how to treat lice in dreadlocked hair?!?!

Chemicals or cut them out I'd imagine would be your only options.

I’d cut the whole lot off.

Oh god. It’ll have to be a deep soak chemicals.

they are called Locs
“dreadlocs” or dreadlocKs as you call them is politically incorrect
it came from people calling them “those dreaded locs”
and why “to my dismay” ? what’s the reason you dislike the hairstyle?
might be wise to educate yourself

I’m guessing you have a lovely set of those dreaded locks as well

Oh fucking hell!!!

OP cut them off and they can grow again, lots of treatment.

He has two choices. Comb them all out and treat with chemicals or cut them off and then treat with chemicals

Or he could spend days with a ton of conditioner and a nit comb.

Given that he's 12, I'd cut them off and start again. How are you treating your 7yo?

I think this is the quickest way. Although they’re very close to his head so he’d have little to no hair left?

I'd consult a loctician to be frank. It may be a soak in bit treatment and then the locticians awareness when they come to redo them and they'll be fine. It might be something more drastic is needed. Consult the person who did his hair in the first place, if they're a professional.

*nit, not bit
