Black bits in Tommee Tippee prep machine

Bought a prep machine secondhand. Have cleaned it through with boiling water twice and still getting these black bits, is this normal?

Nope. There might be mould in the back pipe filters. Have you checked?

It could also be carbon from the filter.

@Holidayissues I don’t currently have the filter in as it says before putting in the filter to wash through with boiling water, so I’m guessing it’s not carbon from the filter? Ah wish I just bought new now!
