Hi,
Please any advice would be appreciated as I'm worried sick. I spotted my newborns rib retractions and wheezy chest, head bobbing when he was 1 week old. We took him hospital and they suspected bronchitis. We got discharged, fast forward 10 days later and breathing was still bad (rib retractions, head bobbing and no longer having a wherzy chest. Hospital admitted him and discharged. Brought him to a new hospital, it has now been 18days since he got unwell. He was treated with antibiotics Incase it was pneumonia (x-ray showed it wasn't). His heart was checked with an ECG and Echo which came out clear. However he's still got the rib retractions.

Anyone have any personal experiences?

If there has been no improvement I’d take him back the GP or A&E if he’s working hard at breathing.

Is he feeding ok , with wet nappies etc.
