baby and toddler, 2 year age gap.
don’t want a buggy board, can you recommend a double pushchair?

Mountain buggy! They're so easy to manhandle and push. Hard to get in and out of the car as quite heavy. In my experience children prefer side by side as they can both see out

Another vote for the Mountain Buggy Duet. It's very narrow and easy to handle.

Another vote for a mountain but tbf I never tried others. Its narrow so you can fit it through any standard doorway. The kids look squished in it but they're perfectly fine. We used it until eldest was 5!

4th vote for the MB Duet. Really easy to push as has proper tyres, narrow enough to go through all doors and easily onto buses.

Is this more for the same age? Or can we put a carry cot in and have the toddler in his own seat?
struggling to find a photo to show the dual seating?

Out n about nipper double, perfect. Push with one hand. Can't rate it highly enough

18 month gap here. We had the out n about nipper double. You can get a carry cot for a newborn. Seats also lie flat from birth and you can get a newborn insert instead of a carry cot if you want. It’s a big buggy but brilliant very easy to push

Another vote for this one. We had a 22 month age gap and used it until eldest started school 🙈😂
They both loved it and as previous poster has said, super easy to steer... Much prefer a three wheeler, so much easier and I tried out more buggys then Mothercare test team so I should know! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I always used a carrier for the baby and put the toddler in a yo-yo. Much lighter and easier to move around than a double buggy

Kaleidoscopic101 · 15/11/2024 22:14

The duet comes with a cocoon or at least it used to for the baby.

The only downside to the inflatable tyres is the number of punctures...

I had the HauckDuett II Double Buggy Stroller, 22 month age gap between mine. I absolutely loved it and so did my toddler, the toddler seat goes into the basket so my DD could properly lie down and go to sleep all snug, was genuinely sad to see it go

Double city jogger. Very practical.. can add a bassinet. Grabbed one on marketplace for about £100 as wasn’t sure how much we would use it. 6 year old still jumps in occasionally so plenty of room!

chocomoccalocca · 15/11/2024 22:22

Out n about every time, loved it, was the easiest buggy I ever had to push even with a 5 and 3 year old in (got it out to sell and they both insisted on trying it out!!). I had a carrycot for the baby in it. Normally can get second hand too with all the bits.

Yes, you can put a carrycot on one of the seats lying flat in the MB Duet. I used it with my 22 month gap with DC2 from newborn.
