Hello,
I'm so tired of the negative stereotypes of single mothers.
I live all of them: broke, struggling, feeling like I have failed my kids, feelings of inadequacy compared to my coupled peers, stressing over birthdays and special occasions, no love life and the list goes on and on.
But I am fed up of being seen like this, by others as well as by myself.
I want a thread by us, for us, celebrating our strengths and sharing the positive aspects of what we learnt.
Maybe this wasn't the journey we planned for in our lives, but this is the journey we are on. And even though it's really difficult, we are not the only ones on this journey.
I found this quote: if you can't change your circumstances, change your perspective.
I know not all of us are at this stage, but for those who are or those who have overcome this stage, please share and help the rest of us with our perspective shift.
Thank you!
